The Life of Sally Ride

Using Smithsonian’s Open Access API, I created a scrolling biography of the first American woman to go to space, Sally Ride. This project provided a chance for me to play with a variety of media types and practice creating a webpage from scratch. I particularly enjoyed piecing together bits of her life from the Smithsonian collection—such as the helmet she always used and the exact NASA clipping she saw recruiting astronauts.
